I have worked in the HVAC business since 1960 and I still love the business like it was my first day. My introduction into the industry goes back many years.  It all started when my frustration and discomfort with an old temperamental furnace in my father's old house greatly influenced me to learn more about this profession. I was deeply satisfied when resolving these problems and it made me hunger for greater knowledge.

  After obtaining my Inter-provincial License, I continued to seek more knowledge and experience by working for major chiller manufacturers. When it seemed that I was running out of challenges, I started teaching industry Journeymen. Soon after this, the Joint Training and Apprenticeship Committee (JTAC) was established, as I was one of the founding instructors of the establishment and the first Graduating Instructor of the five year Instructor Training Program.

  More by fate than planning, my late wife and I founded Ambient Mechanical Ltd. in 1982. Her love for "People" and my love for the " Profession" were then … and are still today… the base from which Ambient Mechanical Ltd. flourished.

  Technology has changed since 1960, however the need for knowledgeable and understanding HVAC Service Technicians is still in as much demand today as it was then. At Ambient, we continue to provide this superior level of service to our customers.
